5 KEYS TO BEING A PATIENT AND NOT DIE IN THE ATTEMPT
PATIENCE: It is the attitude that leads the human being to be able to endure setbacks and difficulties to achieve some good.
For many, patience is a virtue that very few possess, but that every believer must cultivate.
Being patient and waiting for something you long for can seem exasperating. But when we trust God that desperate anxiety turns into peace.
It sounds easy and it really is when we are willing to give up; now if you are a person who is impatient about everything then it will be a bit complicated for you.
The psalmist said PATIENTLY WAIT Psalms 40: 1 were not just words, it was a cry from the depths of his heart, but with the confidence and certainty that God was listening and answering him.
God does not heed a desperate cry, God heeds a cry full of faith and trust.
When we are waiting for something that we strongly desire, we want our prayers to be answered immediately without taking into account that God works within his time, not ours.
There are many things that require a patient wait, but that is not why we are going to faint. We must live with expectation; not in what we want and are hoping for, but in the promise, in the word, in that word that God has given us. In that word that is faithful and true.
And he who sat on the throne said: Behold, I am making all things new. And he told me he writes; because these words are faithful and true.
REVELATION 21: 5
Throughout the scriptures we can find great men and women of God who had to be patient and wait for the fulfillment of their promises; and if it is very remarkable that the wait for them was years and years.
You may think I don’t have time to wait that long, but God is precise when He wants to bless us. The fact that they have waited so long does not mean that it will be the same for us.
God has a special treatment for each of his children, taking into account that we are living in the end times. God hastens his promises to those who fully trust him.
Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
PSALMS 62: 8
5 keys we need to know to be patient.
1) Trust
To Benjamin he said: The Lord’s beloved will dwell securely near him, he will always cover him, and will dwell between his shoulders. Deuteronomy 33:12.
When we trust him we feel safe and protected to the point that we can rest in his arms without worry.
2) delight
Delight yourself also in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37: 4
To delight is to enjoy his presence, it is to feel the pleasure and fullness of being with him. When we focus on Jesus he takes care of everything, we do not have to strain to carry a protocol to force a response, just be who we are, genuine and delivered. To be what he has made of us.
3) Give him control of everything.
Casting all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5: 7
Many times we ask the Lord to take control of all things in our lives, but honestly we never do it honestly, it is always done in the middle, changing first to the channel that we want to see and then pretending that we have given him control when not it is so. And when we start to see things that we do not like, we try to change everything by force and we end up seeing a terrifying episode.
4) Be quiet if you don’t have anything nice to say.
Be silent before Jehovah and hope in him not to be disturbed by the one who prospers his way by the man who does evil. Psalm 37: 7
The believer who hopes in God has nothing to envy, God will always give us the best, in that waiting it is important to fill ourselves with the word of God, keeping silence is also doing it in our thoughts, many times it is where we speak the most. But when we are full of words we do not sin, with words or thoughts.
5) Balance your emotions.
Give up anger and cast off anger; do not exert yourself in any way to do wrong. Psalm 37: 8
When we are waiting for answers if there is a solid foundation in us, we feel joyful about the trust we have in our God.
Joy is not a feeling, it is not an emotion, it is a fruit of the spirit as well as patience, but if the foundation in our lives is not Jesus, our emotions may get a little out of control and feelings of sadness or anger may become manifest by provoking attitudes and actions that do not favor and delay the work of God.
